<description>Why, you are wondering, would I be the perfect candidate?
•	KEEN OBSERVATION SKILLS: I am known for my keen observation skills of architecture, interiors, and the people who inhabit these spaces. In 1980, as a graduate student, I reported on European Fashion for Federated Department Stores.
•	HUMOR &amp; LITERACY: Additionally, I am known for my sense of humor and literate writing style. ASID has selected me as an ASID spokesperson for my ability to write and speak.
•	PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN EUROPE: I have lived in Europe twice (Madrid &amp; Geneva), and have spent many weekends in Paris as a college and graduate student. This means I would feel comfortable enough in the Parisian environment to be able to truly observe for you, but I would be seeing Maison et Objet with fresh eyes because I have never attended it. My observations of Paris also would feel very fresh to the reader because the last time I visited there was 1980!
•	LANGUAGE SKILLS: I studied French from first grade until sophomore year of college, so I read and understand French. I would also be able to understand other Maison et Objet visitors who speak Spanish and German, so I would experience a more comprehensive view of the show compared to others who might not have those language abilities.
•	READY TO GO: My passport is current and I would be thrilled to cover Maison et Objet 2010 as a Window Treatment Expert and Interior Designer.

Plese select me to join Deb and Susan as your Helser Maison et Objet blogger for 2010!

<description>Maison Objet is the best trade show there is! It is covered so infrequently in the US, and needs to be covered in depth in all of the sections. I have been several times, but not in the last few years, and really miss the trends. Maison Objet is where the design trends of the future are shown, where the most important colors and styles are shown. If more US designers were to understand what is happening at this show with in-depth analysis of all the details, then they would really be able to leap into the front of the manufacturing and designing industry. It would be a joy to bring this information to other designers. I am an architect and designer, and have had my own retail store. If more designers and industry publications made the trip (expensive tho&#039; it is) we&#039;d be more on a par with the Europeans, and able to compete more in the world of design. I don&#039;t mean to disparage American Designers, but the colors and styles and themes seem to arrive a few years later here, and I&#039;d like to see it go in reverse someday! Thanks for a great opportunity!</description>

		<description>Jay-

How much better would it be than to have someone who has used, implemented and specified your product to blog about the applications it would have to reinterpret the interiors of fabulous Paree!

The juxtaposition of the awesome glamour of Europe, interpreted through the eyes of someone who is working in the classic Southwestern style of Arizona would inspire new and adventurous exploration of window treatments and iron work design.

<description>As an interior designer, it is my great joy to explore all the newest products and services the design world has to offer. As a writer, what is more exciting than sharing all those new discoveries through the written word? And to pursue all my favorites occupations in Paris at the Maison&amp;Objet show - a dream come true! Passport in hand, Blackberry charged - ready to take on this awesome task!

Looking forward to the opportunity,
Cynthia Mason Hernandez, Director of Possibilities
