At family dinner the other night it occured to me that you guys might find our lazy susan interesting. Our table is a very social 108″ square which seats our seven and an additional 5 very comfortably. The problem was that we literally had to stand up to reach things and were constantly passing things around (risky with little kids.)
We found a nice round Tableaux in our warehouse that had reached the end of it’s life as a showroom display and touched it up in a few spots….
This super-duper, heavy duty, quiet, and smooth turntable at Rockler woodworking supplies looked perfect, so we ordered one and screwed it to the bottom of the Tableaux….
We then slapped a 48″ tabletop from Pier 1 Imports on it, and voila! Even with a large and uneven load this baby performs like a dream!
